The Laughing Onion
your comments review this restaurant
From the moment you walk in it is like a you are a guest in the home of this quirky little restaurant. From the little gingham tablecloths to the motherly waitress. Jaques will pop up from the kitchen at the end of a simple but tasty french menu and position himself at the piano. He will randomly select blushing ladies to laden his music hall humour on but it is all in very good taste. I have had some of my best evenings in ten years of living in Brighton in this restaurant. Visiting friends always ask to return with us, and one recently insisted on walking a mile to the restaurant in the daytime to show Jaques his new baby. It is a marvellous and unique gem in Kemp Town.

The most amazing night, I was scared when I heard the laughing onion might close, but fortunately it did not thanks to public support..
At an age of chain restaurants, it is so rare to find a place which has a unique charactere and really create links between its guests.
I would advice anyone to enjoy it while it is still here.
