I went to the restaurant on 27/06/08 and enjoyed a well above average meal with my partner. I had sesame prawn toasts, followed by duck with Chinese mushrooms and bamboo shoots whilst she had vegetarian spring rolls and beef with green peppers in black bean sauce. We shared some prawn crackers, noodles with char sui pork and crispy shredded beef.
My duck with Chinese mushrooms and bamboo shoots was absolutely delicious and they didn't skimp on the meat. There was also a generous amount of char sui pork in the noodles for a change! Desserts are the usual bought in straight-from-the-box variety but are ok.
The place is quite large and totally open plan, probably seating 200+ at capacity, but we went on a quiet, grey Friday evening. It's in a good location, overlooking part of the Marina and on a nice sunny day the huge glass front would give lovely views.
Staff were polite and service was quite fast.
I would go there again & it's certainly on a par with Gars, my other favourite Chinese in Brighton.

Where do you begin to describe a dining experience like this!??
We have eaten here regularly for over a year, having been lured by the quality of both the food and the staff. The food is always delicious, and the staff look after us like family, as they seem to with all customers.
A certain Brighton seafood restaurant, famed for being ENGLISH, could do well to observe, and strive to acheive similar quality of food and service.
Our thanks to Peter and all his wonderful staff for many enjoyable evenings ... and many more to come

Our favourite place to eat in the whole world, great service and excellent dim sum.
Well worth a visit, and a lot nearer than London's China Town with food to rival the best on offer there.

We've been looking for a good Dim Sum restaurant for 4 years. The Dim Sum was fantastic, truly authentic, fresh and totally delicious. We won't go anywhere else again. The barbeque pork buns and custard tarts were exceptional.
Not to be missed and definitely worth the 15 mile drive!
