The Saint

After forgetting to book a table for my partners birthday (a saturday evening), I rang the Saint, they said they were fully booked, I explained my impending misfortune. The asked me to ring back in 10 minutes. "we may be able to help"
I rang them back... they had physicaly moved some tables around to accomodate us and booked us in for that evening! How Saintly???
The staff were fantastic, very attentative, the food was 1st class and all local organic produce. Such an enjoyable evening. The cost is very reasonable (for such a good meal).
The restuarant is small, with a very pleasent atmosphere.
We have since been back three times in four months and enjoyed it just as much each time. A firm favourite

Went for a meal with my girlfriend and we were first hit by the size of the place, small but cozy. The food was excellent, staff polite the only dissapointment with the meal we felt was the pudding which seemed quite average.
Definetly worth checking out the meal with a bottle of wine came to about £85 which we felt was good value for money.

Food pretty good but very pricey and higher than average service charge (12.5%).

Have to say had the most lovely meal - went based on the reviews from this site and we weren't disappointed. The meal was delicious and the service and atmosphere was exceptional. Would definately recommend this restaurant and will definately be going back.

Easily the best food I've eaten in Brighton, and ridiculously good value for money.
The atmosphere is lovely (especially in the evenings) and while the service can be on the slow side, the staff are friendly, polite and knowledgable.

Easily the best food, wine and service I have enjoyed in Brighton since I moved here in 2005 from London! Other establishments simply do not come anywhere near it!

this place never disapoints at all a fantastic gay/straight mix restaurant..your greated with a warm welcome, great selection of drinks or cocktails enjoyed with a small canappe. food is sourced locally and of high quality, a great choice of meals on the menu, and food is not rushed so you get chance to chat and relax inbetween courses. have recommened it to all our friends and will be going to there to celebrate friends pre wedding meal as its a special place to go. so if you like good food and great service I really recommend this place.

I have been to the Saint on three occasions this year … all for supper and have found the food …. just fantastic …. the menu changes but there are always items that are tempting .. and both my girl friend Julie and I have never been disappointed
A great selection of wines …… Very professional and friendly staff … go there and have a great meal

I have eaten here twice for lunch and the first visit was exceptional. Really well presented and creative starters and simple, but very well cooked, mains. The second visit was, in comparison, somewhat disappointing.
The starters were slightly unimaginitive and my main course of pan fried bream was overcooked and dry. Even the deserts were disappointing with a sugary and stodgy banana tart.
On the strength of the first visit though, I would recommend this restaurant as the food really is fantastic value for money, with a 3 course lunch coming in at under £20.
