Goumard

Lovely decor, surreal paintings, entree and dessert creative and light, as advertised. However, the wine list at dinner had no modestly priced wines--the lowest was 150 euros, so we ended up with a huge bill, even though we only had two prix fixe dinners (three courses) with very modest servings. If this is your budget, go to a three star restaurant.

Having dined at Goumard on two occasions, I can safely say that this is one of the better adresses in Paris for fish-lovers.
It has been around for over a hundred years.
The place is smart, the service friendly and the fish top-notch.
Yes, prices are high but so is the quality!

We dined at Goumard in April 2006. We do not intend to dine at this resaurant again. The food was bland and not cooked properly. There are better restaurants in Paris than Goumard that are also less expensive.
