I went to this restaurant a couple of weeks ago on a hen party that I had arranged.

I was slightly disappointed - I had been told that the decor and ambience was very Spanish but to be honest I could have been in any other restaurant. The food was ok but an odd mix - maybe not worth the money.

When it came to pay the manager made some derogatory comments about "women always causing problems when paying for the bill!" This was because some of us wanted to pay by cash and others by card. Those of us that paid by credit card later checked our accounts to find that they had taken more money out than we had signed for!

Unfortunately this wasn't a great experience for us and if you pay by card BEWARE!

I can't understand all the good reviews of this place on here. For the record this is over-priced, pretentious, low quality fayre. We won't be back. There is much better tapas to be had in Brighton where the plates are smaller, the portions bigger and the flavours much better balanced.

A lovely, friendly place to go for coffee, or more! Definitely be going back there to try all the other things on the menu.

I love Pintxo's and their people! I was very pleasantly surprised being a vegetarian, that a Spanish tapas place had such great selection and tasty food. I had the asparagus and manchego, chick pea salad and padron peppers, soooo yummy.

This is a great find in Brighton, I highly reccommend you check it out. I've heard great things about the 'fine dining' upstairs too, a very chic, rock and roll kind of restaurant. Really different from the rustic, laid back friends and family vibe downstairs. LOVE IT, will be back really soon. By the way the drinks were fab too!!

i think this is the best bar in Brighton, a vibrant atmosphere, good service and outstanding drinks. The best mojito in town

I came last night for my hen do. We had a blast! The guys behind the bar made us some amazing strawberry cocktails. And the food was so lovely. The waiters were cute too!! Will definately be back.

This is one of my favorite places in Brighton! They have created a wonderfully friendly atmosphere and the food is experimental and tasty (the first floor restaurant menu at least). I have spent many a magical evening here and am very surprised at the mixed reviews. I have only ever been delighted with the service and food and have recommended this to many other foodie friends who have all had great experiences. Which is why i am writing this - I just recommended it to a friend who had been looking at the negative reviews! To me it is a welcoming destination restaurant with a great cocktail bar and an ever changing lovely menu and great staff.

This is an awful, over-rated restaurant with extremely poor service.

Very disappointing. Chipped crockery, very expensive and food of a very average standard. I doubt that this venue, which appears to be a London off-spring, will succeed. Brighton people are very fickle and it won't take long for word to get around about what a total rip-off this place is. If they do survive, it won't be due to passing trade considering their location.
