This is an awful, over-rated restaurant with extremely poor service.

Very disappointing. Chipped crockery, very expensive and food of a very average standard. I doubt that this venue, which appears to be a London off-spring, will succeed. Brighton people are very fickle and it won't take long for word to get around about what a total rip-off this place is. If they do survive, it won't be due to passing trade considering their location.

We went to Pintxo in a large group and experienced appalling value for money. The food was mediocor at best and the staff felt it apprioate to bring constant drinks to the table that had not been ordered, clearly assuming that no one would realise until the end when presented with the bill when people have already started to leave. What a disappointment .
Would NEVER recommend this venue. £1400. for 30 people eating tapas , think about it!

I organised a hen night meal here for my best friend and everything from start to finish was just brilliant. We had various special requests / pre orders and everything was exactly as ask for.
We dined upstairs, which is very glamourous, and we all agreed that to get a job here one would have to be gorgeous looking- yet very friendly and unpretentious -which is a rare find.
The food was lovely...we had the £25 per head set menu, different and tasty...and the whole ambience really kicked of the hen weekend in the perfect way.... A non-tacky Brighton hen. The girls left Pintxo People feeling special and charmed and you don't get better than that.

This place is fantastic!! Came here on a busy Saturday night and ate in the ground floor traditional tapas restaurant... There wasn't a table available so we sat on bar stools at a wooden ledge in the window. Our waitress was warm and attentive, the food was quick arriving, delicious and authentic and we sipped on a classy jug of white Sangria ( or 3!).
Really felt like like we were in Barcelona at dusk, ( if you ignored the view of Western Road)...Throughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend it .

I have no idea whether I was on another planet when visiting Pintxo People having read other reviews. What a total rip-off!
I have eaten in many Spanish restaurants where the food has been fantastic. However if your culinary desires extend to frozen iceland potato balls with tomato ketchup aka patatas bravas alongside a plate of rubberised cheese, raw chicken and beef still mooing then this is the place for you.
The food was the worst I have had in a long time, the service was delinquant (they were so terrified of serving a seating of 15+ that they wanted us to place orders even before everyone had arrived!) and when my friend announced that she was vegetarian she received the response of, 'then what are you doing in a spanish restaurant?!'
The total bill came to approx £500 (a tiny glass of wine = £4.50 clearly representative of the fine dining experience received) whereby most of us had managed to find nothing more edible than 1 or 2 lettuce leaves.
Drains stank, loos dirty, restaurant dirty, service awful, food inedible, ambience none - enter this place at your own risk.

Went upstairs here recently with my partner. To sum it up - trendy clients, professional, experienced staff and expensive - but worth it! Food is tapas with a twist i.e. think of nouvelle cuisine on a plate but as this is tapas, you get to buy as much as you want! If you fancy a change, love good food and wine and your wallet can stand it - this is definitely worth a look.

I love this restaurant. Every time we need a little peace and quiet we head down to brighton to Pintxo People for some great food and relaxed service.
We are in the process of arranging our wedding reception there, as my partner and i have shared many wonderful evenings at Pintxo, and feel the excellent service we receive on every visit would make our day just that little bit more special.
Fantastic food, wonderful drinks, excellent wine list... and a casual, but attentive service, that compliments both the tapas style (n.b. it is tapas style!), and the Catalonian ambience.

I cant understand the previous reviewers comments. I went to this restaurant and frankly its very disappointing, its got a cool name, thats about it. After trying to decipher what the menu was all about- and how big the portions were, I ordered some meatballs which were delivered cold. The kitchen was full of adolescents playing around, so I had visions of what had previously happened to my meatballs. Please avoid it.
