Delicious food, with reasonable prices.
Cocktails are usually on happy hour - so check the bar before you order...
The decor has a lively feel - not really recommended for intimate meals with a loved one, but great with large groups, or friendly lunches.
So far, I have been a few times, and got the tapas special offer (I think its certain days before 7pm)...also if you give your details when you pay, you get a voucher for further reductions the next time you visit. Worth doing, because you are likely to visit again...

Las Iguanas is clearly a Latin Restaurant and I believe we don't find on the menu a dish typically made! It a very creative menu, nice food, great bar and drinks, good service...really enjoyable!

Las iguanas brighton is fantastic. the bar in particular
The tapas we had in the bar was delicious and the bar staff were even more tasty. not to mention friendly and well informed about cocktails.
i now go to the bar regularly and even when it is busy the staff try their bast to be quick.
for great cocktails and a great atmosphere las iguanas brighton is the place to be

Las Iguanas was definitely a hit with us! I brought my son there for his 14th birthday last Saturday night, and although the place was busy, and a few of our party arrived late, the waitress was more than accommodating, especially with the kids - suggesting non-alcoholic 'mocktails' and providing them with pencils and menus to keep them entertained. Their nachos even came out without chillies, we didn't even have to ask! Our drinks were superb, delivered quickly, and the food was fab. We had a birthday cake brought over that we had sneaked in earlier and half of the restaurant ended up singing happy birthday, much to my son's embarrassment! I would agree that the service is relaxed, but judging by how busy it was, our waitress was great, bringing out the younger kid's meals first and topping up our wine glasses, despite serving several other tables as well. The atmosphere was fantastic and all of my friends had a wonderful evening. I will certainly be bringing my husband there in the future.

I ate in Las Iguanas last night for my birthday and was extremely unhappy with the over all service. My Dad had driven all the way from Uckfield to put up decorations for a surprise, when we arrived........No decorations!! They then couldn't find our resevation, but after 5mins of frantic checks the waiting staff seated us.
Our Waitress was vacant and had a terrible working attitude. There were 6 in our party, we ordered 2 plates of Nachos to share however we had to wait 40mins before our starters to even arrived.
The main meals didnt't get any better, the steaks were marbled with fat and ALL the rice was cold, the food wasn't best presented but didn't taste to bad, however the waiting time only added to our frustrations!!
Overall i had a terrible night, it was only thanks to my family, a vibrant atmosphere and money off from the manager that i was able to tolerate the night , don't think i'll be back in a hurry!!

Agreed. Excellent menu, though veggie options are limited. Lunchtime specials of a main for £6.50 are superb value. Good interior design, excellent drinks (Negra Modelo, king of beers!) and great service. Well worth a try, very popular in the evenings.

My wife and I ate in Las Iguanas on a Friday night and we were both very pleased with the comfort, ambience, service, drinks, food, price. The service was attentive without being pushy, very friendly. The food was delicious, and both uf us left feeling well full - the comments about small portions in other reviews ring no bells with me. The wine (Chilean Chardonnay) was delicious and at £9 (happy hour) cheap for Brighton.
Based on this one visit I would go there again and have no hesitation in recommending it highly.

The cocktails at this place are fantastically cheap when they're on two for one... 2 long-island iced teas for £4.50?!
The food portions could have been slightly bigger but the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful so overall a good visit!
The bar staff are all very helpful too, happy to recommend and customise drinks as necessary.
