Mascara

Four of us went to Mascara for a meal. We were not sure what to expect. It was an amazing night. What a food, if you want a good night and get what you pay for, this is the place to go.

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Highly rocomend it.

What a night! All of us had a fantastic evening in Mascara, The food was exquisite, the service was very good and the atmosphere was fantastic. It was like a dinner and dance. I highly recommend it, with or without belly dancer you will have a fantastic night.

We went to mascara for a stag night. we had a fantastic night. The food, service and the atmosphere was fantastic a great place to go with traditional dancers and music. It has everything you expect for a good night out.

I will difinitly go back again and recommend it to everyone.

I went to mascara with my office friend for a night out. Everything was fantastic, food, service and the atmosphere was excellent. The food was fantastic and because in midweek we asked for belly dancer which was orgonised for us. This is a fantastic restaurant which we have discovered and I fully recomend it to everyone who want good food, wine and a good atmosphere.

Wasn't too impressed with this Mascara. Went in mid week so no belly dancers unfortunately. The atmosphere was nice and dimly lit. Seating a little uncomfortable. The food was quite bland.

I had a type of Lamb Tagine with dates raisins and apricots. It was overloaded with too much fruit. All I could really taste was Cous Cous with no flavour, the fruit and some lamb also which wasn't even cooked with salt.

There weren't many people there, so really there was no excuse that the chef had too much on his plate (no pun intended). For the price, disappointing after having been to the blue man and having food that was totally mouth watering with full of flavour.

The mascara, best restaurant in Brighton. If you want to have a great evening with friends I really would recommend this place. The food is amazing! But go week-end time so you can see the belly dancer.

stayed in brighton on the weekend with a group of friends, haven't been befor so we really didnt know where to eat....... found mascara's ! what a night to remember! we all enjoyed the food, entertainment, the staff were great, we did have to wait 10 minutes for our table as there were a gang of girs there on a hen night, the ambience is graet very authentic, we have never eaten north american before so we were all surprised with the menu there was to much choice, we all decided to have something different so that we could all have a try. we had aa excellent evening and i will recommend this to my friends and family and to whoever reads this review...

went to mascara on a wednesday evening with my wife and had a lovely meal and evening. Had never tried north african cuisine before so was a little apprehensive as what to order but with help from the exellent waiter we have now found a style of food that is both

unique and delicious traditinal music was great and most diners were up dancing by the end of the evening

I went to Mascara as part of a group booking in Mid December. In general we all had a good evening with a great atmosphere. However, we had all paid a set price up front for a buffet menu and were disappointed. The food was bland and there was not enough for a satisfying evening meal. Those of us who went for the vegetarian option were even more disappointed, it seemed as if we were given the same food as the meat eaters but without the meat. Also the staff didn't seem to know what was vegetarian and what wasn't. All in all we were not happy with the food and service and we certainly felt we did not get anything like value for money.
