Myself and the Mrs have been going to the Plaza on a regular basis for the last couple of years. Always great food, service, atmosphere. We can rely on the Plaza for this hence we are regular visitors. I leave tips on the basis that they go to the staff and was told that they are collected at the end of the night and shared out equally. Not quite fair but ok.

All in all, a great place with great food and great service and low prices compared to a number of other places in the locality.

Ate here the other weekend and had a rather nicer time although the service was not perfect but the food was nice.

Visited this restaurant at the weekend and was welcomed but an agitated waitress who was rude and arrogant who I found out later was the manager.

Our drinks took well over 15minutes to reach our table at which point the ice had already melted.

Then we come to the food all we ordered was a steak each and we had to wait nearly an hour for and neither one was what we ordered, we wanted 1 rare and 1 medium and ended up with 2 well over done steaks which were not hot and when we tried to send them back the manager was rude again and was acting as if we were wrong. I would not recommend dining here

We quite enjoyed our meal a the Plaza, although a little overpriced for a pizza restaurant. However, when we came to pay there was a 10% service charge and we wanted to give the 10% as a tip to our waiter as he had worked so hard and appeared to be rushed off his feet. He had taken the time to make sure we had everything we needed and nothing seemed too much trouble. We were informed that he couldn't accept a tip and the 10% had to be paid as part of the bill. I then enquired if he received any of the service charge and he said 'no, none of the staff received any extra money from the service charge'. We thought this was very wrong and, consequently, will not be eating there again!

had dinner with the family last friday,great friendly service, considering it as very busy. the food is reasonably priced generous and tasty! great views and comfortable seats,a must for me!

I went to this restaurant with my boyfriend on Easter Bank Holiday weekend and found it to be exceptional. I can honestly say it was the best place i ate all weekend. The staff were friendly and polite. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate. The food was fantastic, i can recommend the clamari starter, which was superb considering how easy it is to get wrong if under or over cooked, and my boyfriend said that his traditional fish and chips were very good. Overall a fantastic restaurant, we agreed if we return to Brighton again that we will definately be eating there again.

We went to the Plaza for dinner on Saturday and was very sorely disappointed, especially having read the glowing reviews here. First of all we waited 20 mins for our drinks (we were having an early dinner and there were only 3 other small groups in the restaurant). When the drinks arrived my G&T was so watered down as the ice had all melted that I couldn't taste the Bombay Sapphire. My boyfriend had ordered a mojito but when his drink arrived it was a margarita. Next he ordered steak with peppercorn sauce. By the time we eventually got the sauce, after having to ask for it twice, his food was cold. I was served luke warm mussels. I don't like to complain but when I asked for the drinks to be made as ordered and when we asked for the peppercorn sauce we were dealt with very badly. The manager was rude and the waitress who took our order couldn't even be bothered to write any of it down so it's no wonder it came out wrong. To top it off the place was so cold we and other diners had our coats on! Terrible experience and a waste of money - I would never consider going back or recommending this restaurant to anyone.

I just has the lovliest meal in a very long time at the PLAZA. Very polite helpful staff. The presentation of the sea bass fillet looked really nice on that bed of exotic spinach, well done chef. It was quiet and we had the full attetion of the staff so I am going there again next week, I hope it's going to be raining again hahaha.I would definitely recommend the PLAZA to anyone who is ooking for really good and not so expensive food.

Not one for the fine diner this one. The eating experience fell short in every respect. The surly staff and agressive manager ruined our evening. the place is filthy dirty. I guess it survives just by virtue of its location. You can do far better in brighton.
