I went to The Grill @ Lansdowne Place on 12th April and it was amazing, simple French food cooked so well, I had deep fried Brie with cranberry that was very runny and then fillet Steak which melted in my mouth, would go again and recommend to all my friends

Went here for Christmas Lunch. First time eating here since it ceased to be the Dudley Hotel. Starter was tiny portion but nice. Roast Turkey was totally tasteless, including the 'trimmings'. Carrots and potatoes were good however. Dessert good too. Definitely overpriced but expected that being Christmas day. Service was pleasant enough. Dining Room was dingy needed more lighting. Not sure the decor quite works.

hmmmmm, almost but not quite worth the money. No mini bar, not enough electrical sockets, no menu for the restuarants in the rooms, the smallest TV screen I've seen since 1998, late robe delivery, harsh hallway lighting, resturant seriously overpriced. Spa products were not even available in the bathrooms. A bit like a country girl coming to the big city all dressed in last decade's fashions.

Spare yourself a headache and a huge hit to your wallet/purse. Don't stay here.
This is a hugely overpriced hotel, which, not content with charging extortionate rates for average-sized and equipped rooms, continues to shaft you by charging for parking and breakfast!
The car park (or underground grotto) costs 15 quid for a night, and a decidedly average breakfast cost us nearly thirty quid for two people. Seriously, folks - that is taking the proverbial, after we'd already paid handsomely for our room.
And not only is it a rip-off, this is the noisiest, creakiest, 'thinnest-walled-and-ceilinged' hotel I've ever stayed in. If you want a good night's kip, or just a bit of peace and quiet, forget it.
Don't fall for the decor and 'boutique hotel' tag. Steer well clear!

Great !! I love it. Funky Lounge and Great Restaurant, probably the best for a dinner in Brighton, love scallops and Alan Partirige was next to me !!!

It was such a great time !
As a small party of 6, we had a look around Brighton, after rec from a friend went to the Lansdowne Place Boutique Hotel, had a FAB time & dinner at michelin restaurant The Grill, continue to the Lounge, great atmosphere with great background buddha bar type music, fantastic coctails and serice, better than ever in Brighton million times.
We would like to thank Lansdowne Place for a fantastic time and we cant wait to be back !

Went here with family and friends for a birthday celebration in hope that Hove may have a new "destination" restaurant, perhaps on a par with Hotel Du Vin et al.
This was not to be!
The bar was welcoming with "the longest couches" in Brighton. The bar area was the best of the experience. Long wait in the restaurant for drinks, most of the wine on the list was "off". Food was violently overpriced for its quality - especially for a retaurant trying to build a reputation. Waiting staff non fluent in English.
Final insult of the evening after spending several hundred pounds was to be told that upon requesting a digestif at the bar that we had to leave at 11.00 pm as we were non residents of the hotel. All in all it seemed like the refurbishment has been a victory for mediocrity of execution over ambition.
My wife and I and our fellow diners vow never to darken their doors again!
